Because of my facination of water and all its different structures and forms it can have I did some research through observing this element. I observe, listen, and capture water in different conditions.
Capturing these moments creates interesting abstractions.
I made prints out of the photographs i made during my observations. The paper is affected by humidity and after a while the ink of the print runs out and discolors, creating new structures and patterns. In addition to experimenting with water as a material, I also wrote from water and about water during this project. This made me look at things from a different perspective and made me more aware of the crucial role of water in this world.
To conclude this project, together with Anneroos Van Veen I’ve created an installation that brings together our observations of water. You can walk through the installation and experience water in a different way.
